What does it do?
Ostensil Plus is an injection used to treat symptoms of osteoarthritis, reducing associated pain and increasing mobility.
It is injected into the space in the joint that contains synovial fluid and works by restoring the normal balance between the breakdown and production of hyaluronic acid. Lubricating the knee or other stiff joints, such as the hip, it improves shock absorption and reduces mechanical overload of the joint.

Ostenil Plus is a clear medicine which contains hyaluronate, a pure animal-free substance that is completely bio-compatible and imitates the lubricant in the knee joint. Highly purified sodium hyaluronate can improve the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid within the knee joint. This improves its lubricating and shock absorbing functions and reduces pain.

Ostenil Plus can be used in any synovial joint such as the knee, hip or shoulder joints. It is also suitable for the ankle, elbow and some smaller joints.
